Tim Phillips Wins Royal Television Society Yorkshire’s Music Award for ‘Ackley Bridge’

On July 6th, Tim Phillips was awarded the Royal Television Society’s Yorkshire Program Award for Music and Use of Music for Channel 4’s ‘Ackley Bridge.’ The series also won the Royal Television Society’s Yorkshire Program Award for Best Drama. The hour-long series, scored by Tim Phillips, follows the students and teachers at Ackley Bridge College who must deal with explosive fall-outs and problem pupils following the merging of two schools. ‘Ackley Bridge’ was created by executive producer Ayub Khan-Din with writers Malcolm Campbell and Kevin Erlis.
