Set in the fictional Shattered Isles, the game begins after a cataclysmic event has torn the world apart and released monster-like Behemoths to prey on the surviving humans. Players take on the role of Slayers to hunt these Behemoths, collecting loot to craft and upgrade weapons and equipment.<\/p>\n
Phoenix Labs announced that over 100,000 players participated in the game’s closed beta. With\u00a0the game’s open beta opening on May 24th, an estimated 700,000 players have signed up to explore the world of the Shattered Isles.<\/p>\n
