Kim Planert scores the powerful and moving documentary ‘Skid Row Marathon,’ which has received eleven awards and standing ovations at festivals around the country.<\/p>\n

The film centers around four runners trained by Craig Mitchell, a criminal court judge who starts a running cub on LA’s notorious Skid Row. As four of Mitchell’s runners rise from LA’s mean streets to begin running marathons around the world, they must fight the pull of homelessness and addiction at every turn.<\/p>\n
