Justin Melland scores ‘Wrong Man,’ a six-part documentary series by director and executive producer Joe Berlinger, with executive producers Chris Grant, Drew Buckley, Erica Sashin (showrunner), Ben Silverman, Jon Doran, Justin Wilkes, and Jon Kamen. The series explores the cases of three inmates incarcerated for decades despite claiming innocence: Evaristo Salas, who was 16 years old in 1997 when he was sentenced as an adult to 33 years in Washington state prison; Christopher Tapp, who confessed to killing and sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl in Idaho after multiple and lengthy taped police interrogations; and Curtis Flowers, who is on Mississippi death row despite being tried six times for the same crime by the same prosecutor.
‘Wrong Man’ follows a team of legal, investigative, and forensic experts as they re-investigate the cases, uncovering new theories, offering alternate suspects and revealing new evidence that could prove these inmates innocent.
‘Wrong Man’ premieres June 3rd on Starz.
