Kevin Kliesch has received two Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition, becoming the first composer to ever be nominated for two Daytime Emmys in the same category. He is nominated for his work on Disney Junior’s ‘Sofia the First’ and Disney Channel’s ‘Tangled: The Series.’
On his double nomination, Kevin had this to say: “Getting a Daytime Emmy nomination is a huge honor, possibly the highest honor a composer working in TV can achieve. Getting TWO in the same day for both of the shows that I work on, well I have no words! So incredibly thankful to the Academy for continuing to recognize my work on ‘Sofia the First,’ and also for my work on the first season of ‘Tangled: The Series.’ My mind is officially blown.”
Kevin has received Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Music Direction and Composition in 2014, 2015, and 2017, winning the award in 2015 for ‘Sofia the First.’
