The cop drama is based on a comic of the same name, and it follows detectives who keep an eye on people with superpowers. The show asks: “what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?” Going off the trailer, it seems the show strikes a thoroughly mature tone, though we’ll just have to wait and see if Playstation’s first foray into programming is a success.
The show stars Sharlto Copley, Susan Heyward, Michelle Forbes, Max Fowler, Adam Godley, Eddie Izzard, Noah Taylor and Olesya Rulin. David Slade directed the first two hour-long episodes about detectives who investigate supernatural crimes committed by God-like beings. Charlie Huston penned the pilot.
