Cris Velasco to score Clive Barker’s ‘Books of Blood’ digital comic
Cris Velasco will be creating the soundtrack for the digital version of Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood” series, originally published as six separate books in the mid-’80s, inspired Stephen King to tout Barker as the “future of horror,” and launched the author’s and filmmaker’s illustrious career.
Best known for scoring video games such as “Darksiders,” “God of War” and “Mass Effect,” Velasco is no stranger to creating the eerie, haunting tones needed to accompany a Barker work, as he provided the soundtrack for the Barker-penned video game “Jericho,” released in 2007.

It pleases me to no end to announce that, once again, Cris Velasco will be providing the soundtrack to my worlds. Not only is Cris one of my favorite composers, he’s one of my favorite people. His work on ‘Jericho’ was unparalleled, and what he has brought to ‘Books of Blood’ is, I assure you, nothing short of astonishing. Prepare yourselves for an experience the likes of which you’ve never seen. - Clive Barker
